About Me: We primarily work in the area of mechanics of granular materials employing experiments and simulations. The research is driven by the fact that granular materials, which are collections of discrete solid particles, are omnipresent in industries and nature in the form of mineral ores, food grains, catalyst pellets, sand, etc., and we lack a good understanding of the physics of the processes involved there. The primary goal is to develop constitutive relations for these materials.

Research Interest: Granular Mechanics, Rheology, Complex Fluids, Fluid Mechanics
