About Me: Presently working at Department of Physics, IIT(ISM) Dhanbad as Professor (HAG) with 35years of teaching and research experience during which I have brought nine externally funded research projects of over rupees fourteen crore, published more than 138 research papers and guided 10 Ph.D. Scholars and 06 Ph.D. Scholars are currently doing Ph.D. under my sole supervision. I had several administrative responsibilities at IIT(ISM) Dhanbad such as (a) HOD/Physics Department for two terms of total 6 years, (b) Chief Vigilance Officer for more than 4 years, (c) Professor-In-Charge of Central Research Facility, IIT(ISM) Dhanbad for more than 3 years, (d) Coordinator –cum- incharge of Faculty Development Centre , IIT(ISM) Dhanbad under aegis PMMMNMTT, MHRD New Delhi for more than 5 years, and (e) Research experience of working in 03 developed foreign countries i.e. Japan, Germany and UK through AIST, BOYSCAST and Commonwealth Fellowships. In addition 02 patents have been published and one software namely “GU Interface MATLAB Application” have been developed by my group.

Inder Mohan Thapar Research (IMTR) Award for the year 2023: our research paper published in the Journal “Sustainable Energy Technologies and Assessments 52, 101964, (2022) by N Jabeen and A K Nirala” has been accepted as best publication in the Physics Department in the year 2022 and my student Ms. Nusrat Jabeen has been conferred IMTR award for this publication in 99th Foundation Day (9th Dec 2024) of IIT(ISM) Dhanbad.
  2. Best Poster Award-First in Poster Session-v: Our paper at 3rd International conference on Condensed Matter and Applied Physics (ICC 2019), held at Govt. Eng.
