About Me: I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, at IIT ISM Dhanbad. Previously, I worked as a DST-INSPIRE Faculty Fellow at IIT Kanpur. I obtained my M. Tech and PhD degrees from IIT Kharagpur with specialization in Machine Design. My current research focuses on vibration-induced transport of particles and rigid bodies placed on rigid and flexible surfaces, Structural Vibration, and Nonlinear Dynamics.

Consultancy Project

 

  • M/s Schneider Electric (SESIPL), Hyderabad, awarded a consultancy project worth Rs 4,15,000/- that was jointly completed by Prof. Sanjoy Ghoshal (CI), Prof. R.N. Hota (Co-CI) and Myself (co-CI). The project was titled `` Performance Analysis of a Lab Scale Power Hydraulics System in Various Operating Conditions" and completed in 1 month 20 days starting from 10.09.24.  

 

Other Academic and Administrative Activities

  • Workshop on "Dynamics, Vibration, Acoustics and Control in Industrial Applications" conducted from 21st May 2025 to 25th May 2025: A five-day workshop on "Dynamics, Vibration, Acoustics and Control in Industrial Applications" was conducted from 21st May 2025 to 25th May 2025. The workshop received a significant number of participants from different Academic Insitutions and DRDO Labs. The workshop was co-organized by Prof. Sanjoy Ghoshal, Prof. R. N. Hota, and me as the principal coordinator.
