About Me: I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mining Engineering at IIT (ISM) Dhanbad, with over 12 years of prior experience as a Scientist at CSIR–Central Institute of Mining and Fuel Research (CIMFR), Dhanbad. During my tenure at CIMFR, I was actively involved in 7 R&D projects and more than 70 industry-funded projects, contributing extensively to applied research and technology/know-how development for the mining sector. I also gained valuable field exposure as a Management Trainee (Mining) at Coal India Limited, where I worked in highly mechanized underground operations, including continuous miner operations and longwall mining at Jhanjra Projects Colliery, ECL. I received my B.E. in Mining Engineering from IIEST Shibpur (2011), M.Tech. in Mine Safety Engineering from AcSIR (2014), and Ph.D. from IIT(ISM), Dhanbad (2022). I secured 1st rank in B.E. and All India Rank 1 in GATE (Mining) in 2012. My research interests include underground coal and metal mining methods, rock mechanics, numerical simulation, ground control, and mine instrumentation and monitoring. I have published over 50 research papers in reputed national and international journals and conferences, authored 1 book, hold 1 granted patent, and have filed 1 patent and 1 copyright. My work has been recognized through several awards, including the Young Associate Award 2024 by the Indian National Academy of Engineering (INAE), the Young Engineer Award 2022 by the Institution of Engineers (India), and the IMTR Award 2020 by IIT (ISM) Dhanbad.
