About Me: Dr. Krishnendu Shaw is an Associate Professor in the Department of Management Studies and Industrial Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad. He obtained his Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi). Prior to his current position, Dr. Shaw served as an Assistant Professor at IIT (ISM) Dhanbad, where he joined in 2014. Dr. Shaw’s academic and research interests lie at the interface of management science and industrial engineering, with a focus on operations management, sustainable development, supply chain optimization, and decision analytics. His work emphasizes the application of quantitative and optimization-based methodologies to address real-world industrial and socio-economic challenges. He has published extensively in reputed national and international journals and conference proceedings, with his research achieving significant citation impact, reflected in an h-index of approximately 17. Dr. Shaw has also supervised research scholars and postgraduate students in diverse areas of management and systems engineering. In addition to his academic contributions, Dr. Shaw has been actively involved in sponsored research and consultancy projects, including initiatives supported by government and institutional funding. Dr. Shaw continues to contribute to the academic community through teaching, research, and institutional service, fostering interdisciplinary engagement and advancing the frontiers of management and industrial systems research.
