About Me: I am currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Computing. I joined this institute in December 2014. Prior to this, I worked as a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of OENA at IIT Kharagpur. I obtained my PhD in Mathematics from IIT Madras in November 2013 and my MSc from the University of Hyderabad, Hyderabad. My teaching focuses on applied mathematics courses, namely Engineering Mathematics, Differential Equations, Numerical Methods, and Methods of Applied Mathematics.
Research Interest: Specialization: Differential And Integral Equations, Wave-Structure Interactions----- I am interested in developing semi-analytical methods for studying the scattering of water waves by barriers (breakwaters). The relevant mixed-boundary value problems involve elliptic partial differential equations subject to mixed boundary conditions and far-field conditions. The solution methods include separation of variables, integral equations, Green's functions, and variational principles. My objectives are to analyze wave reflection and transmission coefficients, wave forces, and other important physical quantities to understand the wave-scattering performance of barriers and wave behavior.
