About Me: I am an experimental nano-bio interface physicist interested in looking at the surface and interface phenomena in biophysical systems. I investigate the structure & dynamics and thermodynamics of biological membranes in presence of protein, cholesterol, drug and xenobiotic nanoparticles for applications in nanobiotechnology, disease diagnosis and treatment. I use various cutting-edge physics tools including X-ray reflectivity (XRR), Grazing incidence diffraction (GID), Grazing incidence small angle X-ray scattering (GISAXS), X-ray fluorescence (XRF), neutron scattering and Langmuir-Blodgett methods. I obtained Ph.D in physics from the Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics, Kolkata, India, in 2017. Following that, I worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Kiel University, Germany, and Deutsches Elektronen-Synchrotron (DESY) in Hamburg, Germany. I also hold an M.Sc. in Physics from IIT Kharagpur and a B.Sc. (Physics Hons.) from Ramakrishna Mission Residential College, Narendrapur, affiliated with the University of Calcutta, Kolkata.
