About Me: I am an assistant professor of Philosophy at the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, IIT (ISM) Dhanbad. I work primarily in History and Philosophy of Science. Before joining IIT (ISM) Dhanbad, I was a Post Doctoral Fellow at the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, IIT Bombay (2023-2024). I have a PhD in Philosophy of Science from the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, IIT Bombay. My philosophical inclinations have been and continue to be influenced by naturalistically and empirically informed developments in philosophy of science, especially epistemology of science, Bayesian epistemology, virtue epistemology, social epistemology, roles of values in science, and philosophy of physics. I also take a keen interest in Metaphysics of Science, Philosophy of Language, Philosophy of Technology (Artificial Intelligence), and Philosophy of Social Sciences. I am willing to take PhD students in any of the above areas. Potential scholars can reach out to me at shonkholen@iitism.ac.in; lenymat@gmail.com; or 7400401381. .NOTE: I am currently accepting only Externally Funded Ph.D. candidate!
