About Me: Myself Dr. R.B. Choudhary, have been actively and extensively engaged in the resource development for different categories of energy storage materials and devices since last 30 years. Have been pursuing qualitative and specific energy oriented collaborative research programs in IITs, NITs, State University and CSIR Laboratory as well. Have published over hundreds of qualitative and quotative research (SCI) papers in the highly reputed research journals of national and international repute. Have successfully developed Nanostructured Composite Materials Laboratory (NCML), Department of Physics, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT-ISM) Dhanbad in the year 2010. NCML is commensurately associated with up-to-date central research facilities (CRF) infrastructures and a large number of dedicated young researchers. Nonetheless, NCML is tuned with the expertise of the institute’s interdisciplinary research groups. Further, NCML activity is deeply engaged in the Fabrication and Development of Organo-Inorganic Derived Multi-Functional Hybrid Materials viable for Energy Storage Devices (Electrochemical Capacitors/Supercapacitors, Dielectric/Micro Capacitors, Rechargeable Metal-Ion Batteries and Fuel Cells), Optoelectronic devices like Organic Light-Emitting Diodes (OLEDs), Photovoltaic (Solar) Cells and Organic Sensor Devices as well. Majority of the NCML Research Fellows graduating Ph.D. Degree under the auspices of NCML research group is globally attracted owing to their inventive skills and expertise aimed to accepting current challenges in the area of Low-Energy Devices, Polymer (Organic) Derived Hybrid Materials and Alternate Energy Resource Development programs. NCML provides active research collaborations and participation from national and international academic research institutions and organizations for salient and selective research output aimed to be operative for the renewable, sustainable, and alternate energy resource development programs. NCML research group is markedly attributed to several national and international research awards like IMTR (Punjab) Award, Raman Charpak (France) Award, and World's Top 2 % Scientist Award (Stanford University UK) .

Research Interest: Nano Structured Composite Materials Viable for Energy Storage Devices (Dielectric/ Micro Capacitors, Electrochemical Capacitors/ Supercapacitors, Metal-Ion (Na/ Li-Ion) Batteries, and Renewable Energy Sources; Optoelectronic Absorptive and Emissive Devices (Organic LEDs, Organic Photovoltaic Solar Cells, Organic Sensors).
